NARRABEAN #3

Just after the second stage of the Tour in Newcastle, we continued with the 3rd stage in Narrabeen near Sydney. Luckily I found some lefts to cut

The first lap was laborious to tell the truth: I waited too long without really creating opportunities, as if lost in the line up. I came out of the water in 3rd position with a ridiculous total… It certainly gave me a shock for the second round, the next day, where I posted the biggest total of the day (16.66) with having smashed two nice lefts (8.33 and 8.33). In the aftermath, motivated to block, I faced Tyler Wright in the 3rd round but in different conditions...it was on the buzzer that I found a last wave (8.00) to go back in front in the score and qualify so for the quarter-finals. Against Caroline Marks, I started the series badly with an error that cost me priority. It put a lot of tension on the show and I was very nervous as a result. I searched for waves until I found a very hollow straight line (7.23), but I never got a decent back up. So I finished 5th in the event, like in Newcastle, and once again I lost against the winner.

Now head to West Oz for the Margaret River Pro from May 2-12.
